MOUNTAIN BIKE LEVEL 1 SKILLS CLINIC Dates: Wednesdays 7/24, 7/31, 8/7, 8/14 Time: 6pm – 8pm Cost: $320 Instructor: Rua Blount and Jim Blount Location: Corvallis - OSU McDonald Forest Welcome to the World of Mountain Biking! Did you just get your first mountain bike and want to learn some new skills? Go out with some friends and now you’re hooked on the sport? Just love the idea of exploring more of your local trails? Our mountain bike fundamentals skills clinic is perfect for you! In this course, we’ll take a skills-based approach to mountain biking so you can hit the trails with confidence this season! We’ll focus on position & balance, shifting & braking, terrain awareness, and direction control. You’ll have a chance to apply these skills on trail as we tackle technical terrain, proper cornering, maneuvering obstacles, and learning how to build speed with comfort. This is an excellent series for those that are new to mountain biking and intermediate riders that want to improve their riding.

Whether you’re a novice or a total dirt junkie, we’re excited to tailor sessions to help you level-up your riding. Our hands-on approach can help you master the fundamentals or discover new ways to perfect specific techniques. Catered to your exact needs, our coaches will offer a fresh set of eyes and a wealth of experience to help you master wheel lifts, cornering, ascending technical terrain–just about anything you can expect to encounter on green and blue single-track trails. Our coaches not only have years of riding experience, they’ve also invested time into learning how to communicate those skills in a way you’ll understand. If your progress has stalled or you’re looking to jumpstart your abilities, here’s your answer.

Breaking everything down into smaller steps to reach those bigger goals with your dog can help you establish and maintain expectations, track your progress, adjust training timelines, and celebrate successful milestones together along the way. Join Certified Canine Trainer & Behavior Specialist Abbie Leland, of Red Dirt Dog Training, LLC, for the Goal Setting for Adventure Dog Owners Workshop to help you on your goal-setting journey, one paw at a time!
