Annex Consignment Store

Let’s face it: outdoor adventure gear can be pricey. If you’re looking to expand your wardrobe or stable of outdoor adventure gear, the Peak Sports Annex is your place. Featuring a broad selection of gently used apparel, footwear, and adventure gear, our sales guides use their expertise in apparel brands and gear companies to ensure the items you buy will offer tons of performance, comfort, and style for a fraction of the cost of new. Even better, by supporting our Annex’s second-hand offerings, you’re playing a big part in eliminating unnecessary waste. Save money and help the planet? We’re in!

Best of all, our Annex offers you a way to get value out of the gently used gear you’re no longer using. Take advantage of our Annex to find a new home for that snowboard your kiddo grew out of, that lightweight jacket that never quite fit your aesthetic, or the two-person tent your family can no longer squeeze into. Our sales guides will take care of answering the questions you’d otherwise be forced to field if you listed it through an online marketplace, so you can bask in the profit without any of the work. The credit you earn selling your gear through the Annex can be used to upgrade your wardrobe or gear loadout (with a whopping 20% bonus when used at our Annex!) or converted to cash. Free up your closet and fill your wallet at the same time!

We look forward to helping you discover the next hidden gem to complete your wardrobe or gear closet!

Peak's History

Peak Bike & Outdoor opened in 1971 as The Touring Shop near the corner of Jackson and 4th St. Then-owner Jeff Katz opened for business, initially selling bikes but quickly expanding to include outdoor gear.In 1972, Jeff relocated The Touring Shop, incorporating the business that same year.Throughout the 70s, Jeff continued operations, eventually expanding the business into 121 NW 2nd St. and 135 NW 2nd St.On November 12, 1981, Jeff officially changed the name of the business to Peak Sports. In the 1990s, Jeff expanded once more into 136 NW 2nd St. With three adjacent spaces on 2nd St., Jeff now had room to further grow the business, using the combined locations to house bicycles, outdoor gear, as well as canoes and sailboards. Additionally, Peak began offering bike rentals as well as bike service and ski maintenance. On April 1st, 1993, Larry Desaulniers – Peak’s current owner – was hired as a part-time bicycle mechanic. In the early 2000s, Jeff purchased 207 NW 2nd St., and in September 2003, Peak Sports closed for three days, and the most dramatic shift to date occurred: outdoor retail was moved to 207 NW 2nd St., and the bike shop expanded to fill the existing space at 135 NW 2nd St. In less than a week, the available retail space for outdoor retail doubled, and the available space for bikes tripled. On October 1st, 2016, Larry purchased Peak Sports when Jeff decided it was time to retire. In the next two years, the bicycle service side was rebuilt to improve shop organization and streamline operations for mechanics. In July 2017, the Peak Sports Annex officially opened, offering Corvallis a first-of-its-kind outdoor gear and apparel consignment shop. In April 2022, the Annex moved to its present location at 140 NW 3rd St. in order to expand available floor space. In March 2024, Peak relocated its bike shop to 207 NW 2nd St., combining its Bike and Outdoor offerings. This shift allowed for improved operational efficiency, additional staffing, better training opportunities, and an improved retail experience with all products under one roof.
