Specialized's Langster Street is the pinnacle of simplistic, performance-focused bike design. The A1 Premium aluminum frame with track-specific geometry has fully manipulated tubing and impressive overall stiffness, making the Langster a formidable threat on both the track and the streets. Married to the incredible frame is Specialized's FACT carbon fork, which increases front end ridigity, while also providing excellent steering response for the unique demands of the track. An aluminum square taper crankset with a 48-tooth chainring has plenty of stiffness, and is built tough to last for years to come. With its stiff and responsive frame, road-smoothing carbon fork, and solid build kit, the Langster Street is a city bike distilled down to its purest form.

This bike features flip-flop hub; but bike store initial standard configuration is fixed. After test riding the Langster Street I was hooked; hooked on fixed riding and hooked on this bike. I am 55 yo, and I wake at 5am, daily, just to get on this bike and fly. Lightweight, smooth, and responsive=awesome fun. If you are in the market for a free wheel or fixed bike; definitely test ride a Langster!
I researched bicycles to replace a stolen, one-speed, 2009 Gary Fisher Triton. After test riding the Specialized Langster Street, I knew I had found the replacement. The test ride was awesome. The bike is light, super fast, brakes responsively, and handles excellently. The carbon forks and stock tires provided for a smooth ride. The bike has a flip hub to support both single or fixed riding. My test ride was fixed and although a little scary for a beginner; the ride was wild fun! My Langster is on order; cannot wait. BTW the staff at Bicycle Sport Shop/Congress, on a busy Sunday, was outstanding (Don and Sebastian, thank you!).
