Ergon SMR3 Pro
Details
The SMR3 Pro features TiNox rails and a carbon fiber shell for decreased weight. Developed with two-time Marathon World Champion, Alban Lakata, the SMR3 is used by the Topeak-Ergon Racing team for marathon and endurance racing. It features a tuned shell with increased flex, all the while still offering great stability. This translates to more freedom of movement for the thighs while pedaling. The saddle shell geometry and contours have been optimized to work with the rider. Innovative padding comes from the latest AirCell technology with micro air pockets for increased rebound, support, and damping. The nose of the saddle is treated with silicone for extra glide and ease of movement around the saddle.

The shape and size of the saddle must match the sit bone width of the rider to maximize comfort and enjoyment.
The pelvic bone has a unique V-shape and the saddle must offer the sit bones a large contact surface with the ability to meet the demand of different sitting positions. Various saddle widths are offered so that the usable seat surface corresponds to the rider's unique sit bone distance.
The more forward and aggressive the rider sits, the further forward the sit bones contact the saddle.
